About

Mission: Historic Houston is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and conservation of Houston’s historic architecture and building resources. Historic Houston’s Deconstruction Program actively deconstructs homes to reclaim the building materials. The reclaimed materials are then made available to our members through Historic Houston’s Salvage Warehouse located at 1200 National, Houston, Texas 77007. The Salvage Warehouse is a regional resource for reclaimed historic building materials serving an 11-county region of southeast Texas. The Salvage Warehouse has several summer internship positions available for people with with creativity and DIY skills. Due to limited staffing at this time The Salvage Warehouse is open to members by appt. Tuesday - Thursday between 10-3 and on the first and third Saturdays of the month between 10-3. Members do not need appts. to shop on the first or third Saturdays of the month.
