In 2004 HH initiated Shotgun Studio Project in which an historic house was relocated and was subject to hands-on rehabilitation. Through a series of lectures and workshops participants were taught skills and techniques for repairing, rehabilitating and updating older homes. Sheet rock, sash window repair, flooring installation, tile, siding repair and much more. Lowe’s and Dewalt Tools were just a couple of sponsors for this series.
2008 marked the start of a 7-part Sustainability Lecture Series. Monthly lectures and various off-site trips were planned with an emphasis on sustainability and responsible design. For information on upcoming events or lectures check our calendar or contact our office: info@historichouston.org.
